OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Alexandria, LA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Operate coast-to-coast dry van freight with HMD Trucking based in Alexandria, LA. We’re hiring experienced solo CDL-A drivers who expect steady miles, reliable equipment, and a safety-first environment.
Primary duties:
- Drive OTR dry van tractor-trailers on nationwide routes, ensuring secure and timely deliveries.
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and report service issues promptly to dispatch.
- Liaise with operations on routing, detention and delivery windows.
Driver benefits: modern trucks under 3 years with sleepers, APUs and inverters, strong in-house maintenance, 65¢/mi starting pay with weekly averages around 2,500 miles, safety and referral bonuses, home every two weeks, plus full benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k).
