OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Cape Girardeau, MO by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Run nationwide dry-van routes for HMD Trucking out of Cape Girardeau, MO as a solo OTR driver. You’ll drive late-model tractors under 3 years old fitted with APUs, inverters and sleepers and supported by in-house maintenance. The position emphasizes consistent freight, safety, and a driver-first culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely operate and inspect a dry van tractor on long-haul OTR routes.
- Properly secure and deliver freight on-time while following DOT and company policies.
- Maintain precise logs, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and communicate with dispatch and maintenance teams.
Minimum qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable driving experience.
Compensation starts at 65 CPM with weekly averages around 2,500 miles, plus bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections and referrals, full benefits, and home every two weeks.
