OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Columbia, MD by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Drive OTR dry van freight for HMD Trucking based in Columbia, MD, operating nationwide lanes with dependable freight and a safety-focused support team. Expect predictable operations, modern equipment, and collaborative dispatch to keep you moving.
What you'll do:
- Operate tractor-trailers on long-haul routes and maintain on-time delivery
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and secure loads
- Manage ELD logs, delivery paperwork, and communications with dispatch
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Requirements:
- CDL-A and minimum 12 months verifiable driving experience
- Clean record and pass required background and drug tests
HMD provides starting pay at 65¢/mi (weekly averages ≈2,500 mi), bonuses for safety and clean inspections, late-model trucks with APU/inverter/sleeper, in-house maintenance, routine home time, and a full benefits package.
