OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Columbus, GA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Join HMD Trucking’s Columbus crew as an OTR solo CDL-A dry van driver, running nationwide freight. You’ll handle long-haul routes, keep accurate ELD and trip records, secure loads, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time delivery while prioritizing safety and equipment care.
What you’ll do:
- Transport dry van freight across regional and long-haul lanes.
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and report issues.
- Keep compliant logs and clear customer communication.
HMD supplies late-model tractors with APUs, inverters and sleepers and reliable in-house maintenance. Compensation begins at 65 CPM with ~2,500 weekly miles, safety/referral bonuses, home every two weeks and full benefits. Applicants must hold a CDL-A and 12+ months driving experience.
