OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Meriden, CT by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
Work as a solo OTR CDL-A dry van driver out of Meriden, CT, running scheduled long-haul freight nationwide. You’ll be responsible for safe transit, cargo securement, electronic logs and on-time deliveries while maintaining contact with dispatch. HMD supplies late-model tractors (under 3 years) with APUs, inverters and sleepers, plus in-house maintenance support. Pay starts at 65 CPM with average weekly miles around 2,500 and bonus opportunities; drivers also enjoy biweekly home time and full benefits.
What you'll do:
- Operate company tractor-trailer safely on OTR lanes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain ELD/DVIR accuracy
- Secure loads and follow hours-of-service rules
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months documented experience
