OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in New Iberia, LA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
Operate nationwide dry-van freight out of New Iberia, LA with HMD. We’re looking for skilled OTR solo CDL-A drivers who value steady, predictable freight and a professional carrier. Compensation starts at 65¢/mi with average weekly miles around 2,500 and incentive opportunities for safe driving, inspections and referrals. Expect scheduled home time every two weeks and a full suite of employee benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and manage dry-van loads across regional and national lanes.
- Keep precise ELD and trip documentation.
- Ensure freight is secured and delivered on time.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable OTR experience.
- Clean driving record and able to meet DOT/background checks.
You’ll be assigned modern tractors under three years old with APUs, inverters and sleepers, and enjoy in-house maintenance support and a driver-focused operations team.
