OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Terre Haute, IN by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

From Terre Haute, IN, you’ll operate as a solo CDL-A driver on nationwide dry van routes, handling long-haul freight with professional care. Typical shifts involve pickups and deliveries across regions, consistent pre-trip checks, and proactive coordination with dispatch.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport dry van freight across interstate OTR lanes.
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and document findings.
- Keep clear trip records and maintain timely communication with dispatch.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Comfortable with solo OTR routines and compliance with federal regulations.
Compensation & Fleet: Pay starts at 65 CPM with average weekly miles around 2,500 plus performance bonuses. You'll be assigned modern equipment (under 3 years) with sleepers, APUs and inverters and supported by in-house maintenance. Home every two weeks and covered by full benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).
