HazMat Company Truck Driver (W-2) - Urbandale, IA
Join the HMD Trucking team as an OTR Team CDL A Dry Van Driver responsible for transporting HAZMAT freight nationwide. We offer competitive mileage pay starting at 77 CPM Split and an extra 4 CPM for hazmat loads, averaging around 5,000 miles weekly, along with bonuses for safe performance and referrals.
We Provide:
- Modern trucks under 3 years old, equipped with APUs, inverters, and comfortable sleeping areas.
- Reliable maintenance support from our in-house team.
- Regular home time every two weeks with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k).
Requirements to Apply:
- Valid CDL A with Hazmat endorsement.
- At least 12 months of driving experience.
- A commitment to safety and excellence.
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- Hazmat endorsement
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying
Benefits
- CPM $0.77 Split
- +$0.05 CPM Safety & productivity bonus split
- +$0.04 CPM Split when hauling hazmat
- Clean Inspection Bonus: $100
- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles (company drivers only)
- Extra Stops: $50 per additional stop
- Detention Pay: $15 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $100 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
