CDL-A Dry Van Driver - Augusta, GA
We are looking for skilled CDL-A drivers for an OTR dry van role that offers weekly home time for a 34-hour reset. The freight is primarily dry van with 95% no-touch and 85% drop and hook, ensuring a less physically demanding job.
Compensation:
- Average weekly pay between $1,150 and $1,500 based on performance and miles driven.
Running Area:
- Covering GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, and AL.
Our fleet includes modern International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks, equipped with 1,500-watt inverters and an Opti-Idle system for optimal heating and cooling. Drivers may take the truck and trailer home, given there is a safe parking area.
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage begins on the first of the month after 60 days.
- $20,000 in company-paid life insurance.
- Vacation pay and a 401(k) with a 50% company match up to 3%.
- Passenger policy available after 30 days, with age restrictions applicable.
Additional Compensation:
- Detention pay per customer policy.
- Layover pay at $12 per hour after the first hour.
- Annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for accident-free driving.
Orientation:
- Takes three days from Tuesday to Thursday at several locations.
- We provide transportation by bus or train, along with a private hotel room and meals.
- Orientation sites include Alvarado, TX; Atlanta, GA; Chester, VA; Juliet, TN; Jacksonville, FL; Tacoma, WA; Medford, OR; and Phoenix, AZ.
Requirements
- • Valid CDL Class A license
- • Clean driving record
- • Minimum 12 months tractor trailer experience
- • Pass DOT physical and drug screening
