Regional Dry Van Company Driver (W-2) - Gaffney, SC
American Trucking Group is on the lookout for CDL-A Regional Dry Van Drivers. Experience the benefit of returning home weekly with a 34-hour reset.
Job Highlights:
- Work primarily with dry van freight, with 95% being no-touch and 85% drop and hook, keeping physical work to a minimum.
- Average earnings range from $1,150 to $1,500 weekly, dependent on mileage and performance.
- Operating regions include GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, and AL.
Equipment & Benefits:
- Drive modern fleets including International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth models, equipped with 1,500-watt inverters and Opti-Idle systems for efficient heating and cooling.
- Take the truck home as long as there is a safe parking option.
- Benefits commence on the first of the month following 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance plus $20,000 in life insurance paid by the company.
- Receive vacation pay and a 401(k) with a 50% company match up to 3%.
- After 30 days, a passenger policy is available, with age restrictions based on the season.
Additional Compensation:
- Detention pay based on customer policy, and layover pay at $12/hour after the first hour.
- An annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for accident-free performance.
- All tolls covered through EZ Pass and toll cards.
Orientation:
- Orientation lasts three days from Tuesday to Thursday at various locations.
- Transportation will be provided via bus or train, along with a private hotel room and meals during the orientation.
Requirements
- • Valid CDL Class A license
- • Clean driving record
- • Minimum 12 months tractor trailer experience
- • Pass DOT physical and drug screening
