Regional Dry Van Company Driver (W-2) - Lancaster, SC
Become a CDL-A Regional Dry Van Driver with American Trucking Group and enjoy the perks of being home weekly with a 34-hour reset.
Position Overview:
- Primarily engage with dry van freight, where 95% is no-touch and 85% is drop and hook, minimizing the physical workload.
- Average weekly earnings lie between $1,150 to $1,500, based on performance and mileage.
- Running areas encompass GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, and AL.
Equipment & Benefits:
- Operate modern trucks like International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth, all featuring 1,500-watt inverters and the Opti-Idle system for heating and cooling.
- Drivers can take their truck and trailer home if a secure parking location is available.
- Benefits start on the first of the month after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, alongside $20,000 in company-paid life insurance.
- Vacation pay and a 401(k) plan with a 50% company match up to 3% are also available.
- A passenger policy comes into effect after 30 days of employment, with age restrictions varying by season.
Additional Compensation:
- Detention pay according to customer policy and layover pay at $12/hour after the first hour.
- An annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for an accident-free driving record.
- All tolls are covered through EZ Pass and toll cards.
Orientation:
- Orientation is a three-day program from Tuesday to Thursday at various locations.
- We provide transportation via bus or train, along with a private hotel room and meals during the orientation.
Requirements
- • Valid CDL Class A license
- • Clean driving record
- • Minimum 12 months tractor trailer experience
- • Pass DOT physical and drug screening
