Regional Dry Van Company Driver (W-2) - Newnan, GA
Join American Trucking Group as a Regional Dry Van Driver and benefit from weekly home time with a 34-hour reset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle primarily dry van freight, with 95% no-touch freight and 85% drop and hook, ensuring minimal physical effort.
- Average earnings between $1,150 and $1,500 weekly, based on performance and mileage.
- Service areas include GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, and AL.
Trucking Fleet:
- Drive late-model International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks that feature 1,500-watt inverters and Opti-Idle systems.
- Drivers can take their trucks and trailers home if a secure parking area is available.
Benefits Package:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance begins on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
- $20,000 in company-paid life insurance, vacation pay, and a 401(k) plan with a 50% company match up to 3%.
- A passenger policy is available after 30 days, with age restrictions applying depending on the season.
Additional Compensation:
- Detention pay based on customer policy, layover pay at $12/hour after the first hour, and an annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for safe driving.
- All tolls are covered through EZ Pass and toll cards.
Orientation:
- Orientation lasts three days from Tuesday to Thursday at multiple locations, with transportation, hotel accommodations, and meals provided.
Requirements
- • Valid CDL Class A license
- • Clean driving record
- • Minimum 12 months tractor trailer experience
- • Pass DOT physical and drug screening
