Regional Dry Van Company Driver W2 - Newport News, VA
Join the American Trucking Group team as a Regional Dry Van Driver in Newport News! If you’re a CDL-A driver looking for an OTR position that provides weekly home time and minimal physical demands, we have an excellent opportunity for you.
Home Time:
- Be home every week for a 34-hour reset.
- Our OTR routes are structured to provide steady miles while allowing for family and personal commitments.
Equipment:
- Drive late-model International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks.
- All trucks come equipped with 1,500-watt inverters and Opti-Idle systems for heating and cooling comfort.
- You can take your assigned truck and trailer home if safe parking is available.
No Touch Freight:
- Primarily handle dry van freight with 95% no-touch and 85% drop and hook operations.
- Engage in minimal physical work, allowing you to concentrate on driving and maximizing efficiency.
Pay and Miles:
- Earnings average between $1,200 and $1,600 weekly based on mileage and performance.
- Additional compensation includes detention pay based on customer policies, $12 per hour layover pay after the first hour, and an annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for accident-free performance.
Running Area:
- Routes cover Virginia and surrounding areas. All tolls covered with EZ Pass and toll cards.
