Regional Dry Van Company Driver W2 - Portsmouth, VA
Become a part of the American Trucking Group as a Regional Dry Van Driver in Portsmouth! If you’re a CDL-A driver seeking an OTR opportunity that offers weekly home time and minimal physical demands, we have a fantastic role for you.
Home Time:
- Return home every week for a 34-hour reset.
- Our OTR routes are structured to ensure you have consistent miles while maintaining time for family and personal commitments.
Equipment:
- Drive modern International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks equipped with 1,500-watt inverters and Opti-Idle systems for heating and cooling.
- You can take your assigned truck and trailer home if safe parking is available.
No Touch Freight:
- Work primarily with dry van freight, with 95% being no-touch and 85% drop and hook operations.
- Focus on driving, maximizing your efficiency with minimal physical work.
Pay and Miles:
- Average earnings range from $1,200 to $1,600 per week, based on mileage and performance.
- Additional compensation includes detention pay based on customer policies, $12 per hour layover pay after the first hour, and an annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for accident-free driving.
Running Area:
- Routes cover Portsmouth and surrounding areas. All tolls are covered with EZ Pass and toll cards.

Requirements
- • Valid CDL Class A license
- • Clean driving record
- • Minimum 12 months tractor trailer experience
- • Pass DOT physical and drug screening
