OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Baton Rouge, LA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

HMD Trucking seeks experienced OTR solo CDL-A dry van drivers operating out of Baton Rouge, LA for nationwide freight lanes. You’ll cover long-haul dry van routes, focusing on safe cargo handling and on-time delivery across regions. Compensation begins at 65 CPM with weekly averages near 2,500 miles, plus bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections and referrals. Fleet includes modern tractors under three years equipped with APUs, inverters and sleepers, backed by in-house maintenance. Regular home time every two weeks and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Key Duties:
- Safely operate dry van equipment on OTR runs and secure freight.
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and accurate logkeeping.
- Follow DOT rules and company safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable driving experience.
