OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Charlotte, NC by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
Operate long-haul dry van routes across the U.S. while operating from Charlotte, NC as an OTR solo CDL-A driver for HMD Trucking. You’ll be responsible for safe, on-time deliveries, managing electronic logs, and keeping up with required inspections and paperwork.
Key duties:
- Operate company-provided dry van equipment and sleepers on long-haul lanes.
- Complete DVIRs, logbooks, and electronic documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with dispatch and follow company routing and safety protocols.
HMD offers mileage starting at 65 CPM with weekly averages around 2,500 miles, modern trucks under three years (APUs/inverters/sleepers), in-house maintenance, home every two weeks, and full benefits. CDL-A and 12+ months verifiable experience required.
