OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Chesapeake, VA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

HMD offers starting pay at 65 CPM with typical weekly mileage around 2,500, plus safety, inspection and referral bonuses. Equipment is late-model (under three years) with APUs, inverters and sleepers, backed by dependable in-house maintenance. Drivers receive biweekly home time and full benefits packages including health, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k).
Primary duties:
- Operate dry-van tractors on long-haul interstate routes, delivering freight safely and punctually.
- Complete thorough inspections and accurate log/record keeping.
- Work with dispatch to plan efficient routes and handle delivery issues.
Minimum:
- CDL-A and minimum 12 months verifiable driving experience.
