OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Columbia, MD by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Join a national dry van fleet serving Columbia-area drivers on OTR solo assignments. You’ll operate across regional and nationwide lanes, maintain compliance with hours-of-service rules, and deliver freight responsibly while representing HMD’s professional standards.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company tractor-trailers on long-haul routes.
- Perform cargo securement, document accurate logs, and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
- Communicate with dispatch to navigate lanes and customer schedules.
Qualifications:
- CDL-A license and minimum 12 months verifiable experience required.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented.
