OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Gaithersburg, MD by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
Operate long-haul dry van freight nationwide as part of HMD’s OTR team serving Gaithersburg, MD. You’ll run dedicated and irregular lanes, execute timely pickups/deliveries, and liaise with dispatch to keep loads moving. HMD provides late-model tractors (under 3 years) with APUs, inverters and sleepers, dependable in-house maintenance, competitive pay starting at 65¢/mi (avg ~2,500 mi/wk) and performance bonuses for safety and clean inspections.
Your Responsibilities:
- Safely operate assigned tractor-trailer across interstate routes and adhere to HOS/ELD requirements.
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate paperwork.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers.
Qualifications:
- CDL-A license and at least 12 months verifiable driving experience.
- Dedication to safe, professional delivery.
