OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Houma, LA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Run nationwide dry-van freight from Houma, LA with HMD. We’re seeking experienced OTR solo CDL-A drivers who want consistent miles and a safety‑focused carrier. Pay starts at 65¢/mi with weekly averages near 2,500 miles and additional incentives for safe driving, clean inspections, referrals and more. Drivers typically get home every two weeks and receive comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate dry-van tractor-trailers on long-haul routes nationwide.
- Complete accurate logs and electronic records (ELD compliant).
- Ensure secure load handling and on-time deliveries.
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle care.
- Communicate with dispatch and follow routing instructions.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable OTR experience.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements.
You’ll run modern trucks under three years old equipped with APUs, inverters and sleepers, supported by in-house maintenance and a driver-focused operations team.
