OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Kokomo, IN by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Based near Kokomo, IN, this solo OTR dry van role assigns experienced CDL-A drivers to nationwide freight lanes. Daily work centers on long-haul driving, safe cargo handling, routine inspections, and efficient communication with dispatch and ops.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate dry van equipment on interstate freight routes.
- Perform detailed pre/post-trip inspections and log maintenance issues.
- Keep accurate trip records and maintain professional communication with dispatch.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A license and a minimum of 12 months verifiable experience.
- Prepared for solo OTR schedules and adherence to federal driving regulations.
Pay & Fleet: Compensation begins at 65 CPM with weekly averages around 2,500 miles and bonuses for safety, clean inspections, and referrals. Drive modern tractors under 3 years old outfitted with APUs, inverters, and sleepers, supported by in-house maintenance. Home every two weeks and covered by full benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).
