OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Lafayette, LA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

HMD Trucking is seeking experienced OTR solo CDL-A dry van drivers serving Lafayette, LA for nationwide freight operations. You’ll operate long-haul dry van lanes, ensure cargo security, and deliver on tight schedules. Compensation starts at 65 CPM with weekly averages around 2,500 miles plus bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections and referrals. Drivers run modern tractors under three years equipped with APUs, inverters and sleepers and receive dependable in-house maintenance support. Home every two weeks and full benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) are provided.
Key Duties:
- Operate dry van equipment safely on OTR routes and protect freight.
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain logs.
- Follow DOT regulations and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A and minimum 12 months verifiable driving experience.
