OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Metairie, LA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
HMD Trucking is recruiting experienced OTR solo CDL-A dry van drivers in Metairie, LA to run freight nationwide. Cover long-haul dry van routes while delivering freight safely and on schedule. Starting pay is 65 CPM with weekly averages close to 2,500 miles and bonuses for safety, clean inspections and referrals. Equipment consists of modern tractors under three years with APUs, inverters and sleepers, plus dedicated in-house maintenance. Drivers receive home time every two weeks and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).
Key Duties:
- Safely operate dry van units on OTR trips and secure freight.
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and accurate log records.
- Comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience.
