OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Norfolk, VA by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Join HMD's Norfolk-based OTR team transporting dry-van freight nationwide. We deliver competitive mileage starting at 65 CPM with weekly averages near 2,500 miles, plus bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections and referrals. Drivers run modern tractors under three years equipped with APUs, inverters and sleepers, supported by in-house maintenance, regular home time every two weeks, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k).
Key responsibilities:
- Safely operate assigned tractor-trailer on long-haul routes and complete on-time deliveries.
- Conduct diligent pre/post-trip checks and maintain required logs and delivery documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to manage schedules and exceptions.
Requirements:
- CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable experience.
