OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in North Sioux City, SD by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
Based in North Sioux City, SD, you'll operate nationwide dry van lanes for HMD Trucking as a solo OTR CDL-A driver. Daily duties include route planning, cargo securement, electronic logs, and maintaining DOT-compliant vehicle condition while delivering freight safely and on schedule.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report defects, and coordinate with in-house maintenance.
- Secure loads, follow HOS and company safety protocols, and communicate with dispatch.
- Complete accurate logs and paperwork for regional and national deliveries.
Compensation & requirements: Starting pay is 65¢/mile with weekly averages near 2,500 miles. Modern trucks under three years feature APUs, inverters, and sleepers, plus safety bonuses, biweekly home time, and full benefits. Must hold a CDL-A and have at least 12 months verifiable experience.
