OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Silver Spring, MD by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Join HMD Trucking’s OTR dry van operations from Silver Spring, MD, moving freight nationwide with a focus on driver safety and consistent freight assignments. You’ll run established lanes supported by reliable dispatch and shop resources.
What you'll do:
- Operate long-haul tractor-trailers and deliver freight on OTR routes
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and secure loads
- Maintain ELD logs, delivery paperwork, and timely communication with dispatch/customers
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A and minimum 12 months of driving experience
- Clean record and ability to pass required screenings
HMD provides starting pay at 65¢/mi (~2,500 mi/wk averages), bonuses for safe driving and clean inspections, late-model tractors with APU/inverter/sleepers, in-house maintenance support, scheduled home time, and full benefits.
