OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Sumter, SC by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
Operate nationwide OTR dry van lanes with HMD Trucking from the Sumter area. This solo CDL-A role offers consistent freight, base mileage pay beginning at 65 CPM and typical weekly mileage near 2,500. You'll run modern, sub-three-year tractors equipped with APUs, inverters and sleepers and backed by our in-house maintenance team. Drivers receive full benefits, safety and referral bonuses, and scheduled home time every two weeks.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer across interstate routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct required pre/post-trip inspections and maintain logbooks and paperwork.
- Communicate with dispatch and support staff.
Minimum qualifications:
- CDL-A license with 12+ months verifiable experience.
