Local Reefer Company Driver (W-2) - Levittown, NY

Join the Food Authority family with a $5,000 sign-on bonus! We are currently seeking experienced CDL A Delivery Drivers to manage the delivery and inventory of temperature-controlled products to our valued customers.

Shift: Daily dispatch between 8pm-9pm, home every day.

Weekly Salary: $1,850.00

Driver Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
• Valid driver's license and current DOT medical card required.
• No CDL accidents in the past 36 months.
• No major violations or suspensions in the last 36 months.
• Must be able to work overnight, including Friday and Sunday nights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of prior food distribution experience.
• Experience delivering using a liftgate.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment.
• Previous overnight shift experience.

Driver Responsibilities:

• Ensure delivery of temperature-controlled products in undamaged condition.
• Accurately count goods at customer locations and maintain FIFO inventory levels.
• Manage Driver Apprentice/Helper.
• Safely drive vehicles to customer locations for timely deliveries.
• Load and unload products from trucks or trailers.
• Organize products according to customer specifications.
• Maintain driving logs and complete daily paperwork.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Follow scheduled routes for daily deliveries.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
• Quick response to sounds and ability to move safely over uneven terrains.
• Capability to recognize dangerous situations.
• Good vision for safe night driving.
