OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Fairfield, CT by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Operate as a solo OTR CDL-A dry van driver based in Fairfield, CT, running reliable long-haul freight across the nation. You’ll oversee safe transport, load securement, electronic logs and on-time deliveries while coordinating with dispatcher support. HMD furnishes late-model tractors (under 3 years) with APUs, inverters and sleepers and offers in-house maintenance. Pay begins at 65 CPM with weekly averages around 2,500 miles plus bonus opportunities; drivers also have biweekly home time and full benefits.
What you'll do:
- Safely operate company tractor-trailer on OTR routes
- Complete DVIRs, pre/post-trip inspections and ELD entries
- Maintain cargo securement and timely dispatch communication
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months verifiable experience
