OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Rockville, MD by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description
Operate long-haul dry van freight nationwide with HMD’s OTR team based near Rockville, MD. Run interstate lanes, manage freight handling and delivery schedules, and coordinate closely with dispatch. HMD equips drivers with modern tractors (under 3 years) featuring APUs, inverters and sleepers, plus in-house maintenance support, pay starting at 65¢/mi (avg ~2,500 mi/wk) and additional bonuses for safe driving and clean inspections.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned tractor-trailer safely on long-haul routes while complying with federal HOS and ELD rules.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
- Communicate routing and load status with dispatch.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A and minimum 12 months verifiable experience.
- Strong safety mindset and customer service.
