OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Detroit, MI by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Move nationwide dry van freight out of Detroit, MI for a driver-focused carrier that values safe, consistent operations and on-time performance.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate an OTR dry van tractor safely and professionally, complying with FMCSA and company policies.
- Perform and document pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks.
- Communicate with dispatch to optimize routes and meet delivery commitments.
Pay begins at 65 CPM with typical weekly miles around 2,500 and bonus opportunities for safe driving and clean inspections. Trucks are under three years old with APUs, inverters and sleepers and backed by in-house maintenance. Home every two weeks; full benefits. CDL-A and at least 12 months’ experience required.
