OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Washington, DC by HMD Trucking
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Run coast-to-coast dry van freight for HMD Trucking from the Washington, DC area. This OTR solo CDL-A role focuses on safe, efficient deliveries with strong mileage pay (starting at 65 CPM) and weekly averages near 2,500 miles.
Primary responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on long-haul routes, following DOT and company procedures.
- Complete accurate logs, pre/post-trip inspections, and protect cargo integrity.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding routing and load status.
Drivers operate late-model tractors with APUs, inverters and sleepers, backed by reliable in-house maintenance. Home every two weeks. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO and a 401(k). Must have CDL-A and 12 months verifiable experience.
